Bardo Museum
This museum is located in a beautiful villa from the ottoman period. The museum first opened in 1930, and is one of the one most well know in Algeria. The museum offers a collection of jewellery, and utensils from all over Algeria, traditional clothing from Algeria, its exhibits of palaeontology and geology. Also some tools of stone age, and the skull of a hippopotamus discovered in Tipasa. It hold rock carvings dating back thousands of years, and a tomb from Tin Hinan a Berber Tuareg queen of the sahara, reputed to be the greatest Tureag ruler.
